The Color Express is a small business in Tampa, Florida, offering mobile paint instruction to everyone from preschoolers to adults. We’re professional and fun, creative and encouraging. We bring art enrichment to our partners at local schools, clubhouses, and non-profit organizations. The Color Express specializes in children's classes and events, offering after-school art enrichment, on-site field trips, PTA paint night fundraisers, grown-up parties, and more.

What you’ll do:

  • Implement art lesson plans at Hillsborough County Schools created by The Color Express
  • Instruct students in various art techniques and mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture
  • Provide positive and constructive guidance and feedback to students on their artwork
  • Foster creativity and self-expression in students through art projects
  • Manage art supplies and maintain a clean and organized art kit
  • Update supply inventory sheet after each class
  • Upload class photos to a shared folder

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field preferred
  • Hillsborough County Schools Vendor Badge Background Screening
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and styles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Patience and the ability to work with students of different skill levels
  • Organizational skills to manage art supplies and plan lessons effectively
  • Your own vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • After-school-hour availability
